With 100,000m2 of event space, including the UK’s largest auditorium, London’s largest banqueting hall and a range of conference suites, Excel London is one of the UK’s leading international exhibition centres and renowned for hosting world-leading events, conferences and even Olympic sports.  The venue was opened in 2000, which at the time was one of Europe’s largest regeneration projects and comprises of 2 rectangular, column free halls suitable for exhibitions of all types.

The venue was acquired by Ahu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company in 2008 with several phases of development completed and planned since then.   

In terms of transportation links, there are 3 light railway stations nearby as well as easy access to the London underground.  Excel London also boasts parking for 3,700 cars and London City Airport is just 5 minutes away, making Excel London an attractive location for international exhibitors and visitors.

When should I request a stand design and build proposal for Excel London?

The answer to this is similar to all venues, being the longer the better!  However we understand your busy schedule and can accept requests for exhibition builds at least 1 month before the show.  Depending on the scale of the project, it may be possible to design and build an exhibition booth with less lead time, however this is subject to the requirements.

Now take a moment, and come back to think about your exhibition space, and the stand that you would like us to design and build for you. To calculate the costs of your trade show stand we need to understand exactly what you want from your space, and your objectives of participating at your chosen trade show. Once we feel that we can visualize your ‘imaginary house’ we will use our experience and expertise to create your ‘house’ in our 3D design software, and calculate the costs of building it for you.

More often than not, we will ask you how much you’d like to spend on your stand. The reason for this is that we frequently build trade show stands ranging from £2,000 – £70,000 GBP. So what we can design and build very much depends on what you consider to be a reasonable amount to spend on your trade show display – after all, you have to ensure that you are getting a suitable return on your investment – whether that be through brand exposure or the selling of your products/services.

Where can I stay when visiting Excel London?

There is an impressive seven hotels on site, ranging from budget to luxury with 1,400 rooms between them, making it ideal for exhibitors to stay on site or nearby.  There is an additional 10,000 rooms within 20 minutes of Excel London with an excellent transportation infrastructure to support visitors, making it a doddle getting to and from the venue.

Are there any restaurants at Excel London?

Being located in the heart of London’s events district, there is a huge variety of hotels, shops, bars and restaurants in and around Excel London, Canary Wharf, the O2 and Olympic Park.  The area between conference spaces is reserved for dining so you’ll find restaurants and coffee shops here.

There is no shortage of food and beverage services at Excel London, with options catering to all requirements.  There are well-known international restaurant brands as well as local brands for the perfect balance.

The length of time it takes to design your exhibition booth very much depends on the scale and requirements. Although we can sometimes turn around booth designs and costs within a few days, we usually prefer to have approximately 2 weeks to develop full design concepts, prepare 3D visuals and costs when possible.

The simple answer is the longer lead time we have the better. However we also understand that you’re busy people so we request that stands are confirmed at least one month before the show. We occasionally will accept projects with less than one month building time, however this will depend on the scale and details of the project.
